Bitcoin Glance ("the app", "we", "us") is developed by smallaxe. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and your choices — in plain language.

Summary

Bitcoin Glance does not require an account, does not collect your name, email, or any personal identifiers, and does not sell data. The app fetches public Bitcoin price data and displays a third-party ad banner. That's the extent of what happens.

Information we do not collect

• No account or sign-up, so we never see a name, email, or password
• No location data — the app does not request location permission
• No contacts, messages, photos, or files
• No payment or wallet information — the app does not process transactions or hold cryptocurrency

Information the app itself stores

The app saves a small set of preferences (such as your last-selected chart time range) locally on your device using Android's standard app storage. This data never leaves your device and is deleted automatically if you uninstall the app.

Network requests the app makes

To show you the current Bitcoin price and chart, the app contacts public price APIs:

• Binance (primary source)
• CoinGecko (automatic fallback if Binance is unreachable)

These requests only ask for public market data (the BTC/USD price). As with any internet connection, your device's IP address is visible to these services as part of normal network communication, but the app does not attach any personal identifier to these requests.

Advertising

The app displays a banner ad served by A-Ads (AADS.com), an ad network. Loading the ad banner sends a request to A-Ads' servers, which — like any ad network — may see your device's IP address, general device/browser information, and advertising identifier as part of serving and measuring ads. A-Ads describes itself as a privacy-focused network that avoids invasive user tracking; for their full practices, see A-Ads' own privacy policy. We do not control, and are not responsible for, A-Ads' data practices beyond what they disclose publicly.

Tapping the ad opens your device's browser to the advertiser's site, which is outside the app and governed by that site's own policies.

Permissions the app requests, and why

• Display over other apps — powers the optional floating price overlay (a small pill showing the live price). This permission is only used to draw that overlay; it is not used to observe or interact with other apps.
• Ignore battery optimization — requested so the background price service isn't killed by the system, keeping the floating overlay's price current even when the app is closed.
• Notifications — required by Android to run the background service that powers the floating overlay (shown as a persistent low-priority notification while the overlay is active).
• Internet — required to fetch the live price and load the ad banner.

None of these permissions are used to collect or transmit personal information about you.

Children's privacy

Bitcoin Glance is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Data retention and deletion

Because the app does not collect personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete on request. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored preferences from your device.

Your choices

• You can deny or later revoke the overlay, notification, or battery-optimization permissions at any time in Android Settings — the core price-ticker and converter features keep working without them.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising generally through your device's Ad settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads).

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
